Below are selection of specially commissioned and bespoke creations. Examples of close collaborations with restaurants, bars, manufacturers, and other clients, transforming their visions into ceramic realities
Brasserie Constance, Fulham Pier
Fulham pottery made Adaptable hot water bottles near the Fulham Pier site and it was Adam Byatt and his vision to re-interpret this historical narrative for Brasserie Constance. Bone china bottle contains ready mixed cocktails. I was a part of a group of ceramicists creating items for the restaurant - the amount of thought and effort may not be so visible but makes a huge difference to the overall intention and feeling of the space, in my opinion.

The House of Suntory Video
A collaboration with The House of Suntory and the legendary Ago and Georgio from The Connaught Bar. The brief was to produce a Kyusu—a Japanese-style teapot for cocktails. The pour is essential to The Connaught Bar's expressive, theatrical style, so this became the main focus of research through many iterations. The teapot pours through the spout for the high pour, but also quickly, from the other side, inspired by Italian milk frothers and pourers. The feet are designed like geta (げた), traditional Japanese wooden shoes.

La Bombe by Trivet, COMO Metropolitan London
Custom ice cream dishes in bone china were produced for Jonny Lake, Isa Bal, Evan Moore and their team. The restaurant has traditional roots and familiarity, but with bold flavours. While the rest of the tableware is muted, the desert course called for something different—particularly for ice cream, they wanted plates that would stand out, be bold, and at times contrast with the colours of the ice cream itself.

Illusion of Shape
Recently I've been creating some sculptural forms alongside commissions for tableware. Presented at SCP, Illusion of Shape is a contemplative exploration of form, fragility, and the forces that define our material and emotional worlds. The project has furthered my thoughts around the perfect/imperfect debate in my mind. This collection of handmade hanging mobiles, crafted and constructed at my London studio.

Bamboo Mural
Those familiar with my ceramic work know that bamboo is a recurring motif—evergreen and resilient, it's a plant I keep close, even in winter. Though large-scale murals were unfamiliar territory, I felt comfortable with the subject. I knew this piece would be hand-painted with brushes, inspired by the bold strokes of shodo calligraphers and the elegance of Japanese folding screens adorned with gold leaf. The mural sits on the canals of Stoke on Trent What 3 words Location: dice.hulk.craft

Hiden, London
Yuichi-san and his design team Takagi Caperan challenged me to match their signature yellow for their curry. Matching colours in ceramics isn't as straightforward as you might expect—it's not like mixing paint. The unfired clay and glaze look very different from their fired versions, but we managed it, and I think with depth: the clay body was coloured a more orangey tone beneath a bright yellow glaze. I was as surprised as anyone to achieve this colour without hundreds of trials.

The Fat Duck
The Fat Duck is a long-standing collaborator, renowned for groundbreaking gastronomic cooking. Every detail is meticulously considered and discussed. Commissions are based on a particular dish, with a specific feeling they want to evoke and experience they want to provide. For example, the Woodland dish was conceived as a scent diffuser and visual cue to transport you straight back to the woods. The bauble dish captures the joy of Christmas, while the duck roll is elevated off the table. The Botrytis dish is slightly raised so that it faces you as a diner. Each item has been a special project.

NEFF Flavour Enhancing Plates and Bowls
A project commissioned by NEFF Appliances, and brief set by Professor Charles Spence who experiments widely on how the colour, weight, feel of a vessel creates nuances in how flavours are perceived.
The Starter Plate - Inspired by the energy of the sea waves, this fine bone china plate is designed to intensify the taste of seafood based starters. Reminiscent of the sea world through the white and blue glazing and bearing a rough, fish scale-like texture, this plate heightens the perception of saltiness through its angular shape.
Main Dish Bowl - This angular, black stoneware bowl enhances the sensation of spiciness. The rough, sandpaper texture of the bowl heightens the taste of ginger, making it ideal for serving up dishes like Thai green curries.
Dessert Bowl - Inspired by the shape of a raspberry, this dessert bowl is designed to bring out the fruity flavor of desserts. The pink color boosts the perception of sweetness, whilst the outer, rounded, raspberry-like texture triggers associations with the fruit.
Bespoke Tile Murals
Tiles are hand glazed with layers of rich reactive glazes using a traditional Japanese rice hay brush. The tile murals can be customised to any theme and colour, while keeping the same spirit of expressive strokes and energy.
