A fine bone china bottle in blue, decorated with clouds built up in white bone china using pâte-sur-pâte, the technique of layering and carving away liquid clay to create translucent relief. Use it as a vase, or warm sake in it as a decanter. Comes with an optional cork stopper. The exterior is glazed with clear and blue glaze showing the decoration underneath; the interior is glazed.
Inspired and painted by real clouds, and it has really made me look up. This was a trial, working out how beat to glaze the cloud relief.
