A fine bone china vase in blue, decorated with clouds built up in white bone china using pâte-sur-pâte, the technique of layering and carving away liquid clay to create translucent relief. Fully glazed.
The shape is inspired by the overtly decorated vases and vessels from the Wallace collection. Many from Sèvres Porcelain. Take all the metal handles, plinths and decoration away and there is a very simple ceramic form underneath it all.
Fine Bone China, Glazed.
Dishwasher Safe.
Vase, 13.5cm d. x 20cm h.
