A fine bone china vase in green, decorated with bearded irises built up in white bone china using pâte-sur-pâte, the technique of layering and carving away liquid clay to create translucent relief. Glazed internally.
The shape is inspired by the overtly decorated vases and vessels from the Wallace collection. Many from Sèvres Porcelain. Take all the metal handles, plinths and decoration away, and there is a very simple ceramic form underneath it all.
Fine Bone China, Glazed.
Dishwasher Safe.
Vase - 13.5cm d. x 20cm h.
