Small Metallic Coral Vessel III
A small sculptural vessel, produced by infusing organic material with bone china slip, the texture firing away to leave intricate, coral-like forms suspended in ceramic. Chrome green, oranges and yellows run between metallic glazes. A display piece only.
This was a deliberate departure, a challenge to step away from the everyday, functional objects I love to make and create something purely for looking at. The result sits somewhere between geology and coral reef, each one entirely unrepeatable.
Fine Bone China, Glazed.
Approx. 14cm w. x 13cm l. x 11cm h.
