White + Pink + Mint Coral Vessel
A large sculptural vessel, produced by infusing organic material with bone china slip, the texture firing away to leave intricate, coral-like forms suspended in ceramic. Soft tones of pink, green, and white drift across the surface, muted and gentle under a satin glaze, closer to watercolour than to the vivid colour of real coral. A display piece only.
This was a deliberate departure, a challenge to step away from the everyday, functional objects I love to make and create something purely for looking at. The result sits somewhere between geology and coral reef, each one entirely unrepeatable.
Bone China, Glazed.
Approx. 22cm d. x 30cm h.
